Before getting information on RCI Points let us know what RCI is. RCI stands for Resort Condominiums International, known worldwide for services in real estate and travel. RCI has been providing leisure travel solutions to international businesses and consumers.
It is one of the leading names in vacation travel business and is known to provide excellent customer service, and world-class holiday experiences. It has been developing networks, technology, and products.
As you must have understood it by now, RCI points is a points-based exchange program of timeshare facilities. Timeshare owners need to subscribe to this program so as to avail themselves of the various advantages this program gives.
Subscription
One of the advantages that subscribers can get out of RCI points is flexibility. However to be eligible to subscribe for RCI points, you have to be an owner of a timeshare facility of resort that is an affiliate to RCI points.
Many people who have already subscribed to RCI weeks tend to wonder if they will lose their existing benefits if they join RCI points. However, apart from performing transactions online, RCI points give all the benefits that subscribers of RCI weeks already have. Also, subscription to RCI points doesn’t mean that you need two different accounts to be maintained. And what more, RCI points also pays the subscription fee for RCI weeks.
The Concept
Once you have subscribed, i.e. once RCI has accepted your enrollment, at the beginning of every year points are made available to the member. These points are valid for that particular year. If they are not used in that year they can be auto-saved for the next year, unless of course if they have already been saved. The same is the case with the points that are unused.
